Book 1, series 1, Chapter 3

 Chapter 3

         The next morning, when the sun was peeking over the mountains beyond, shining a beautiful yellow light on the forest trees and illuminating the peach and yellow coloured flowers that spread around the valley. Gaze woke from a crash and a bang, followed by a sheepish little yelp, he dashed out of bed and ran over to his little kitchen area. Gaze stood shocked for a little before yelling "Leilani! What are you doing?!"

        Leilani yelped and ran in front of a pan that was laying on the floor, "Oh, you know, just trying to make you a surprise breakfast, not really a surprise any more though, any how sorry about the pan, it was a LOT heavier then it looked."

       "It's fine" Gaze sighed "wait- I told you to come at noon!"

        "Yeah, about that..." Leilani said shyly, then she burst with her normal energy "oh but it was so important! When I woke I had so much energy Junica told me to let it out outside, so I did!" And here you are back inside, Gaze sighed.

        "Now that your up, why don't you get ready for the day and then I can show you what I've been dying to since tomorrow morning?" she asked, and Gaze shyly agreed.

      After Gaze got ready,  Leilani took her satchel off her shoulder, and took a scroll out, laying it out on Gaze's desk, he watched aww struck as she took out a magnifying glass and angled it so the sun hit the glass, a little white light hit the scroll, and Leilani drew with the light the Rare Powered Pixie symbols. But, instead of burning it like Gaze thought it would, the light spread over the scroll  like a towel soaking up water until it reached the end, and there in front of Gaze was not a scroll explaining about Moon Stones, but a map of the Pixie's area of land. From the village's of the Willowing Woods to every inch of the Frosted Forest. 

       "How did that happen? And HOW is that possible? And how did you know to do it? And-" Leilani interrupted him "wow, Gaze, one question at a time! I know, this is exciting, but let me explain," She cleared her throat "it's actually not as complicated as you think, so, in Lily Leaf Academy, I'm learning about symbols and all that stuff, so you know how I love Moon Stones? They are by far the prettiest gem stones! Any way, I was looking in this scroll, and I brought out a magnifying glass cause' the picture was so detailed! I just had to see it better, and then the light made a mark, and I saw a little picture in it, it was soo cool! Well, I had the Elemental pixie symbols stuck in my mind- you know, fire, water, shape shifting, etcetera. So I drew them with the light and well...!"

       Leilani put her hands behind her head and said "the problem is, I don't know what the map's for, but look" she pointed to the six symbols "those are the rare powered pixie symbols."

      Gaze stared at the map, then he gasped "Leilani! The fire symbol and shape shifting symbol are both in the Glistening Garden Village, where Firestone and Celestial live!" Gaze's Excitement turned to worry, he had to tell Midnight! What if someone was watching his friends? And marked where they lived!

       "Gaze, what does this mean?" Leilani asked, Gaze cleared his throat "this means we have to tell everyone, something doesn't seem right" he hoped his voice didn't sound as nervous as he was.

        "But Gaze" Leilani said "I'm not sure I want to tell everyone, I just want it to be the two of us. Maybe once we figure out everything then we can tell your friends, ok?" Gaze sighed, he really wanted to tell Midnight, she always had a simple solution, and she always calmed him. But what if his worries were right? What if someone was planning on hurting Firestone and Celestial? He looked down at the map, the water symbol was in the frosted forest, the earth symbol was in the Willowing Woods, the portal symbol was in the Dark Forest, and there was a lightning symbol in the clouds. But why was the portal symbol in the Dark forest? And what was that lightning symbol in the clouds? Then Gaze remembered his vision, one was Firestone, Fire, the next was Firestone again but green glowing eyes, like Celestial when she shape shifted, Shape Shifting, a really fast figure leaving a trace of yellow, Lightning, a figure jumping into a lake of ice, Water, and a pixie with purple eyes, and a portal closed behind him, Portal or Teleportation, and last a pixie pounding their fists on the ground, making boulders shoot up like geysers, Earth. The map was involved in his vision! His vision had showed him important parts of the future and it was already happening! He had to tell Midnight! But who was that pixie with the ice blue pony tail? She had worn a jet black suit and had ninja stars. 

         He glanced at Leilani, and she looked back at him "you've found something, haven't you?" she said. They were both startled by a knock at the door, and Gaze walked over and answered it.

         "Hey Gaze, I just wanted to make sure you were ok" Midnight greeted, then she saw Leilani who greeted her with the wave of her hand, "am I interrupting something?" Midnight asked.

         Gaze looked back at the map "n-no" he stuttered, "kinda" Leilani budged in.

          Midnight looked confused, "oh, ok" she started to walk away but Gaze stopped her "wait!" he called after her. Leilani glanced at him, and he sucked in a breath "I have something to tell you-" "Gaze, no!" Leilani complained. 

          She grabbed the map and dashed past him "Leilani! That's not what I-" but Gaze didn't get to finish, he ran after her and heard Midnight gasp when Leilani shoved past her at Gaze's door step. Gaze kept running after her, but she was running down the meadow toward the Willowing Woods. "What's goin' on over here?" someone yelled, panting, "Firestone? What are you doing?!" Midnight asked, "oh, you know, chasing Crystal and Celestial, because they both decided to get on my nerves and disappear, then I saw you two dashing across the meadow like you were getting chased by a Timber Wolf. What are you doing chasing Leilani?"

         Midnight started to run faster as they came towards the woods. "She just had a big outburst, and I don't know why!" Midnight weezed, Gaze knew why, he didn't mean to hurt her feelings! 

         When Leilani started to run out of breath, she stopped at a mossy log, with dark green trees towering overhead. Gaze huffed and was about to open his mouth when Leilani said "just let me be, we were supposed to do it together but I guess not" she turned away and Gaze felt a ting of sorrow "I- I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, that wasn't even what I was going to tell her..." Leilani turned back around "It wasn't-" She was interrupted by crashing in the trees. 

        Leilani, Midnight, and even Gaze screamed as a square device fell from the sky, a light blue, translucent force-field encased them from the floor to slightly above Gaze's head, fortunately, Firestone got out of the way. "It's a shame I have to do this, really, I don't want to, but I don't expect you to just hand the map over" a voice said, and a pixie jumped down from the towering, dark green trees, his cloak flapped down when he touched the floor and he snapped his fingers. 

        Giant wasp-like drones with five, intimidating red eyes glowed on the head and crab-like pinchers snapped in front, they flew over and encased Firestone in a spot light like beam that formed into a ball around her before she could spark a flame in her hands. "Such a coincidence I would run into you, you're the fire one, aren't you? Oh, you can come out now little bug, I know you're there" the pixie said tapping on the light blue visor in front of his eyes.

        Celestial almost would have appeared out of know where, but Gaze realized what the pixie meant by "bug." Celestial must have turned into a bug and hitched a ride on Firestone's shoulder when her and Crystal were bothering her. "Uuugh!!" Firestone yelled when Celestial appeared as her normal green-haired self and smooshed Firestone under her. They yelled at each other and figeted around the circular enclosure until they were on separate sides, "Ugh! I'm going to strangle you after this!! Actually, I'll do it right now!" Firestone reached out towards her sister and Celestial yelped in surprise, "Firestone! Not now!" Midnight pleaded, and Firestone miraculously stopped. Gaze looked over to the cloaked pixie, he looked at the blue visor and saw a little bit of hair under the hood, the pixie had black hair and Gaze was able to see yellow on his bangs. Of course! The pixie was a Technopath, a really powerful one if he was able to make so many drones, as well as a visor that Gaze figured was like Midnights goggles but very high-tech.

        "Now, no time to waist-" the cloaked pixie said, and drones dug underground, only to appear inside Gaze, Midnight, and Leilani's enclosure!
